On Saturday the GBHS debate squad placed 3rd at Valley Center against 16 schools and 66 teams. In the novice division the team of Kylynn Keeler and Hadley Murphy placed 4th with a 4/1 win/loss record. Keeler said “I am really proud of everyone that competed. It was a lot of fun!” Also in the novice division the team of Uriel Renteria and Sara Allen had a 3/2 win/loss record that contributed to the sweepstakes placing. In the JV division the team of Carter Sheffield and Kris Gieck placed 7th with a 4/1 win/loss record and the team of Aaron Miller and Ashtin Heath had a 3/2 win/loss record. Miller said “everyone on our team did amazing today. I am very proud of them all.” Everyone on the team had a winning record. The team plans to compete at Lyons next weekend.
