Andrea Bauer USD 428 GBHS students Dominik Zimmerman, Ailey Scothorn, Remmi Burkes and Kourtnee Leech plan to submit more than a dozen college applications during Apply Kansas Week.

More than 45 Great Bend High School seniors submitted applications to multiple colleges and universities during the GBHS Apply Kansas events held Tuesday and Wednesday in the school library.

The event provided students with dedicated time and support as they explored higher education opportunities and took an important step toward their futures.

Area colleges, including Barton Community College, Wichita State University, and Salina Tech, also attended to answer questions and provide students with additional information.

“We’re proud to support our students as they take the next step toward their futures,” said Lacy Wolters, ACT and Career Coordinator at GBHS.
