GBHS speech team earns medals at Pratt

The Great Bend High School speech team competed at the Pratt Speech tournament on Saturday. Four GBHS students competed in 10 events and placed in five of those events.
In Impromptu speaking, Bayle Sandy placed third and qualified to the State Championship Tournament. Sandy also placed first in Original Oration with all 1 rankings in the preliminary rounds and from all three judges in the finals.
Jaylyn Lear placed sixth in Humorous Solo Act and fifth in Serious Solo.
Patrick Heath placed fourth in Informative Speaking.
The team placed first in the 5A division of the tournament.
