Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St., will hold an After-Hours Celebration following the Home for the Holidays Parade on Saturday, Nov. 24. During this time the library will serve refreshments and have an hour of stories and crafts. People can also stop by to watch the holiday classic: “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” The library will remain open until 8:30 p.m.
Library spokesman Jennifer King said the library will open late this Tuesday, when it will be open from 2-9 p.m. The shortened hours will allow library staff, board members and volunteers to celebrate the holidays. The library will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.
On Nov. 26, the Teen Department at the library will show the movie “The Amazing Spider-man” at 4 p.m. for Teen Movie Monday. The free movie is open to all students in grades 7-12.
