The weather was pretty good on Tuesday for the “Kids Day Out” event that was hosted by the Great Bend Recreation Commission.
Children of all ages had the opportunity to play games and make crafts in the morning. After the games and crafts the children got to enjoy a pizza lunch.
“The kids really enjoy it,” Recreation Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrick said. “It gives the kids something to do.”
The afternoon brought more excitement for the children. They all got to go roller skating.
Approximately 18 children attended.
The GBRC will host another “Kids Day Out” on Tuesday, Dec. 29. This event will have games and crafts for the children to enjoy along with a lunch. After lunch the children will be able to go bowling.
If you would like to have your child participate in this program, they have to be registered with GBRC before Monday, Dec. 28.
The GBRC hosts this event throughout the year on certain days when school is not in session.
The GBRC can be contacted at 620-793-3755.
