A new window was installed this week on the third floor of the Central Kansas Dream Center. It features an arched grill that recalls the original look of the former Roosevelt Junior High School.
“The window is going into our third-floor prayer chapel that we are putting in to be able to pray over the city,” Dream Center Director Kimberly Becker said.
“Construction on the third floor is moving along great,” Becker continued. “We had recently gotten a Golden Belt Community Foundation grant for $5,000 from the Amos Bayer Endowment Fund to put towards our elevator, and then last Friday a couple in town purchased $50,000 in tax credits that we are selling for the third floor construction, which gave us $100,000 to finish paying for the elevator! God is doing some amazing things here.”
The construction project will transform former classrooms into nine apartments that will be used by married couples going through training, as well as traveling missionaries. There are also plans for a medical clinic room.
The Dream Center still has approximately $117,000 in tax credits available to sell. Anyone who is interested can call Becker at 620-282-4014.
