Grace Community Church, 210 McKinley St., will hold Awana Clubs this year for children from preschool age through 6th grade. Meetings are from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday nights with additional safety measures to address the current COVID-19 situation.

Awana is a weekly event that features the Bible, games, and fun. Student Ministries Pastor Jon Kelly said the church is proud to offer this program to the community.

All volunteers have background checks performed and this year will be wearing masks to make the environment as safe as possible for the students. Masks for students are encouraged but not mandatory, and temperature checks will be conducted for students and volunteers as they enter.

“Grace Community Church exists to lead people to an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ so they may abound in fruitfulness to God’s glory and their most profound joy,” Kelly said. “With that mission in mind, we seek to reach the community of Great Bend, and ultimately the world, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
