Great Bend Alzheimers Walk

Great Bend will host an Alzheimer’s Walk on Saturday, Oct. 5, with registration to begin at 1 p.m. followed by the opening ceremony at Barton County Courthouse and Jack Kilby Square. The walk will begin approximately at 2 p.m. Come show your support and sign up to walk or donate by calling Missy Pflughoeft, Walk Chairman at (620) 653-4121. You may also register online by going to alz.org/walk and listing your town and sign up as an individual. If you are unable to walk the day of but would like to support the cause, call Jan Evans, Outreach Coordinator at 316-267-7333.
Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Join the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s and unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions. Each walker will join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
