The Great Bend Cemetery Board will host a ribbon cutting for the newly-installed electronic directory kiosk at the entrance to the Great Bend Cemetery, 4500 Broadway Ave., at 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 21.
The idea was approved by the city council last November, following a recommendation from the Cemetery Board. It called for the phone booth-sized structure to be built near the cemetery’s main entrance. A touch-screen monitor will provide burial plot information for both the Broadway and 24th Street locations.
