Great Bend Library has spring break movies
Book Nook.jpg

Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! This week is spring break. Everyone’s out of school so this week we have lots of activities to keep teens busy and help them have some fun and unwind over the week.

We have movies and games planned as well as our Teen Manga and anime club. All week long we will be having a Marvel move marathon in the teen spot. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday the movies will be shown at 11 a.m. Thursday the movie will be shown at 1 p.m.

Teens can start off each day with a different Marvel movie. Then stay after and enjoy all the things the Teen Spot has to offer. We have a craft corner, computers, two video game stations and of course lots of great young adult books to pick up for some spring break reading.

On Thursday the Anime and Manga Club will be meeting to discuss Pokémon Adventures and watching the first episode of the anime. This will be followed by a Pokémon card game tournament complete with prizes for the best players. Anyone 13 to 18 is welcome even if they have not read the manga.

Finishing up our spring break week we have a Marvel movie at 11, of course, but directly after that we have tabletop games. Teens can stay after the movie or show up any time throughout the day to relax and have some fun playing a variety of tabletop games with friends.

For event info or other library information, please visit our Facebook page or website (, stop by the library at 1409 Williams St. or give us a call (620-792-2409). We hope to see you soon.
