Great Bend Public Library will resume regular hours and unveil a new Book Club in September, according to library spokesman Jennifer King.
The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day. After that, summer hours will end and regular hours will resume. The library will be open Monday from noon to 9 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
The format of the Book Club, including when meetings are held and whether everyone reads the same book every month or a variety of books with different genres each month, will be determined by the members. There will be an information-gathering meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12.
“If you can’t make it and are interested in joining, please stop by the library and fill out a quick assessment or visit the library website at greatbendpl.info and fill out an assessment online,” King said. “For more information please call the library at 792-2409.”
