Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice will sponsor a Tuesday evening grief support group in Great Bend from Jan. 11 through March 15.

It will meet each Tuesday, except Jan. 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Thelma Faye Harms Room off the cafeteria in the basement level of Central Kansas Medical Center, 3515 Broadway.

Hospice Chaplain John Grummon and GBHH & Hospice Social Worker Cathy Soeken will co-facilitate the support group. "Guided by qualified facilitators, group members will provide support and healing for one another," Grummon said. "This group setting becomes a safe place to share while doing the important work of mourning and learning new ways to approach problems."

"All discussions are confidential," Soeken added. "Participants can feel free to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences. Sharing memories and photos, poetry or other significant mementos is welcome and encouraged. This is a good way to allow other group members the opportunity to know more about the loved ones being mourned."

Anyone interested in attending the grief support group may contact Grummon for further details by calling 620-792-8171.
