HHS forensics at Nickerson

Hoisington High School’s forensics team took 19 entries to Nickerson’s tournament on March 2. Head coach Drew Reisner and the team of (right to left) Steven Demel, Jessica Lovett, Hunter Adams, Melody Braddy, Brayden Stevenson, Baylie Fyler, AJ Thurman, Campbell Husted, Xavier Stevenson, Vada Kaiser, Ethan Ney, and Calli Brown walked away with a hard-fought second place sweepstakes award. Eight of Hoisington’s entries made it to the final round. Jessica Lovett placed 2nd in Informative Speech and 3rd in Serious Solo Acting. AJ Thurman placed 3rd in the Program of Oral Interpretation. Calli Brown placed 6th in Serious Solo Acting. Brayden Stevenson placed second in Impromptu and Extemporaneous Speaking. Vada Kaiser placed 3rd in Humorous Solo Acting and 1st in Original Oration. The team will head to Goddard on March 9.
