Art by area high school students will be on display this week, April 9-13, at Barton Community College’s Shafer Art Gallery. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Gallery Director David Barnes said artists from Ellinwood, Hoisington, Great Bend, Larned and Stafford high schools will participate.
On Wednesday, high school students can attend Vortex Day, with hands-on art workshops and critiques and demonstrations for fine arts activities. Programs run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the gallery. The public is invited to attend the awards ceremony at 1 p.m.
