Matt Hiss of Great Bend has announced his intention to run a write-in campaign to represent the Third Ward on the Great Bend City Council.
“My wife and I were both raised in Great Bend and have come back after college to begin our family, as a fifth-generation business owner in Great Bend and young professional in the community I want to continue to see a safe environment and vibrant growth of our city,” he said.
“From my work as an investment advisor representative with Hiss-Sherman Wealth Management Group and as a Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Ambassador I understand the importance of a strong local economy. My wife, Dena, has been an educator in USD 428 for the past four years and I also serve on the Education Foundation Board. We value children and the vital role they will play as the future generation in our community. We want to see Great Bend thrive because of the family centered lifestyle that a small city can offer.
“ I normally go by Matt, but on April 1st I would really appreciate your vote for city council to read Matthew Hiss. Thank you in advance for your support.”
Ken Roberts currently serves in the Third Ward, however he is not seeking reelection. No one filed for the seat.
