Hoff to retire from city

 City of Great Bend Human Resource Director Terry Hoff was emotional as he addressed the City Council Monday night. It was announced he is retiring as of Dec. 4. 

“It’s been an honor to be a part of this organization,” he said. Hoff has worked for the city since 2009.

“Terry has been a tireless valued member of the staff team and will be missed,” City Administrator Howard Partington said. “We wish him all the best in his retirement.”

There was nothing but praise from other in the council chambers. “Thank you for your efforts these past years,” Mayor Mike Allison said.

Hoff said he has no particular plans other than spending more time with his family and grandchildren.
