Hoisington city council reschedules meeting

HOISINGTON — Due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, the Hoisington City Council meeting was rescheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the Municipal Building. Items on the agenda include show-cause hearings for properties located at 655 W. Second St. and 272 W. Broadway. The property owners and code enforcement officer have been invited to show evidence to support why the property should or should not be considered as dangerous or unfit for human habitation.

Other items are  a follow-up discussion regarding a garage at 701 E. Third St.; discussion of bids for a K-4 waterline project; discussion of recreation equipment in parks; approving the mayoral appointment of Dakota Meyers to the Commission on Aging; and approval of a cereal malt beverage (CMB) sales permit for Michelle Moshier, doing business as Can Do Drinks, 173 W. Eighth St., to sell alcohol-free CMBs from 4-9 p.m. on June 10
