Brian Alexander, age 38, of Hoisington was arrested Saturday evening on multiple drug and weapon charges.

According to Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir, around 5 p.m. Saturday, BCSO officers executed a search warrant at 609 E. 3rd St. in Hoisington, based on information detectives had developed which indicated drug trafficking was occurring at that location.

Deputies reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, large quantities of drug paraphernalia and firearms in the residence. Alexander was arrested at the scene and was booked on charges of distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a firearm. He is being held in the Barton County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
