The Golden Belt Humane Society announced Monday the shelter at 151 South U.S. 281 will be closed to the public due to staffing shortages, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 15.
The Humane Society said all adoptions will be by appointment only. Individuals wishing to view pets in person should call 620-792-4297 to schedule an appointment after 1 p.m. – during the normal adoption hours,
Those looking for assistance with donation or to reclaim lost pets should also call the shelter for assistance at the same number.
