Incredible Years Preschool enjoys donated pumpkins

Lessons about pumpkins and how they grow came to life recently at Incredible Years (IY) Preschool, thanks to a local business.
H2 Oil Field Services purchased pumpkins from local retailers and donated them to the preschool, which Sunflower Diversified Services owns and operates.
“They gave us 40 small pumpkins, along with a few big ones for carving,” IY Director Shari Schneider said. “The children were delighted with the pumpkins, and the decorations of witches, ghosts, spider webs and scarecrows.
“Everyone had a great time hauling the pumpkins in a wagon and creating a pumpkin patch,” she added. “We had several lessons during October about pumpkins and the youngsters enjoyed working with them in real life.”
Schneider said she and the IY staff appreciate H2 Oil Field Services, and everyone else who supports the preschool.
“We are so grateful to our community,” Schneider said. “Our supporters enable us to offer our curriculum on a sliding-fee scale so that IY is more affordable.
“We have a proven track record of providing a top-quality preschool education,” the director added. “Our children are well prepared for kindergarten when they leave here.”
