TheGreat Bend Recreation Commission will host  “Healthy Homes,” a free program about indoor air quality. Donna Krug, Barton County Family and Consumer Science Agent, will present the information at noon Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St., and at 1 p.m. Friday at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.

Indoor air quality is affected by many things and can cause allergies and illness in many people, said Krug, who notes that October is Indoor Air Quality Awareness Month. She will present the latest news on radon, carbon monoxide, mold and other indoor air issues.
