Items stolen from Hoisington Historical Society

HOISINGTON — Fifty-seven items were stolen from the Hoisington Historical Society, located at 120 East Second St.
According to a statement released by Crime Stoppers of Barton County and Great Bend, sometime prior to noon on Feb. 4, the historical society was broken into. Actual loss and damage are estimated at $1,070, but most of the items were donated artifacts from the area that cannot be replaced.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300 or the toll-free number, 888-305-1300. Crime Stoppers only accepts anonymous tips, and cash rewards may be provided for information that leads to an arrest or recovery of property.
