Jefferson School faculty and staff scored big time, but the United Way of Central Kansas was really the big winner. Jefferson School had a whopping 78 percent participation rate in the recent United Way fund drive, up from just 25 percent last year. The school won bragging rights and the travelling trophy held by Eisenhower School last year. The school will also be the site of a dunk tank featuring Superintendent Brad Reed in May. Increased participation district wide made USD 428 one of the top businesses in the area.
