United Way of Central Kansas will host its annual Hot Dog Feed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, at Veterans Memorial Park as a part of the June Jaunt festivities. There will also be large yard games available for families to play or you can watch the action on the volleyball courts.
UWCK hosts this event with the help of Wal-Mart and the City of Great Bend every year, only asking for a freewill donation. This year, the proceeds will go to the Disaster Relief Fund that has been set up to help the families that incurred significant or total loss to their homes in the tornado that came through Barton County on May 16.
If you can’t make it to the June Jaunt, you can donate online at uwck.org/relief.
