Crews will soon begin repairs on a K-156 bridge in Barton County, the Kansas Department of Transportation announced Friday.

Work on the bridge – over Cow Creek on K-156 about 12 miles north of U.S. 56 –  is expected to begin around Feb. 10, depending on weather conditions. The project, overseen by the Kansas Department of Transportation, will include patching and overlay.

Motorists should be prepared to stop for traffic signals during the work. Traffic will be limited to one lane during the project, which is expected to be completed in July.

Bridges Inc. of Newton is the primary contractor for the $299,816 project.
