Crews will soon start pavement-marking on K-19 in Pawnee and Stafford counties and on K-156 in Pawnee County.
Motorists should be prepared for delays during the work.
The K-19 project will stretch from Larned, in Pawnee County, for about 20 miles east to U.S. 281, in Stafford County. The K-19 project is expected to start around Monday, April 6, and be completed around mid-May, depending on the weather.
The K-156 project will cover about 25 miles in Pawnee County, from the Hodgeman County line east to the west city limits of Larned. The K-156 work is expected to begin around May 25 and end around early July, depending on the weather.
During the work, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should be prepared to stop and face delays of up to 15 minutes.
RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the contractor for the three separate contracts that comprise the work: $109,498 for one section of K-19; $99,000 for the second section of K-19; and $342,161 for the K-156 project.
