Crews soon will begin resurfacing a section of K-96 in Barton County.
The resurfacing – a scrub chip seal – will be on K-96 from the Rush/Barton County line to the Great Bend city limits. The length is about 13.6 miles.
The project is expected to begin around Tuesday, Aug. 11, and be completed around Aug. 31, depending on the weather.
During the work, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes and are encouraged to add time to their travel schedules or use a different route.
Heft & Sons, of Greensburg, is the contractor for the $699,875 project.
