MANHATTAN — Kansas State University is giving incoming fall 2021 freshmen from the U.S. more time to apply and still be considered for general university scholarships and awards.

The university’s priority application deadline for both its Manhattan and Polytechnic campuses has been extended to Jan. 5, 2021.

Applying by the priority date guarantees full general scholarship award consideration. Additionally, the Jan. 5 admission application priority date now also coincides with the priority date to complete the new ACT/SAT-optional scholarship application.

“This has been a difficult year for many high school students trying to navigate the college search process, and we want to acknowledge that by giving them a little extra time,” said Karen Goos, vice provost for enrollment management. “By extending the priority date to Jan. 5, students will have an additional month to complete their K-State admission application and still enjoy full scholarship consideration.”

Goos also encourages students to take advantage of on-campus and virtual visits throughout the month of December as they work toward completing their admission application.

Students can apply for admission online and can also preview scholarship opportunities available to them. Questions about the admission application can be directed to
