LARNED —  An open house in conjunction with National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week has been scheduled by the Larned/Pawnee County dispatching staff for Monday, April 10.

The open house at the Larned Police Department, 419 Broadway, begins at 7 p.m. in the LPD lobby. Refreshments will be provided following the walk-through tour in the City Council meeting room.

Telecommunicators Week is celebrated annually during the second week of April to honor public safety communicators for their commitment, service and sacrifice. The week was started in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California.
