LARNED — The first session for a new writers’ group has been set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Santa Fe Trail Center in Larned. 

Carol Jenkner, Great Bend author, is hosting the first meeting with hopes of gathering together writers of all ages, genres and backgrounds who are interested in sharing their work and learning more about the world of writing. The informal meet-and-greet is open to anyone interested; teens as well as adults are invited to attend. Writers are also invited to bring work to share.

“It is hoped that this will be an ongoing and growing group of writing enthusiasts that will meet the third Saturday of each month,” Jenkner said.
