Great Bend Public Library Director Harry Willems has announced his plan to retire in April 2016. He is also director of the Central Kansas Library System.

Plans for creating a selection committee and beginning a search for a new director are on the agenda of the GBPL Board of Directors, which will meet at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in the Dane G. Hansen Media Center, located on the lower level of the library at 1409 Williams St.
