The 2013 Public Library Books Sale will be open to the public Oct. 20-22 in the basement meeting room of the Library located at 1400 Williams in Great Bend. Hours for the sale are: Sunday, 1-4:30 p.m.; Monday, noon to 8:30 p.m., and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Prices are set at $1 for hardback books and 50 cents for paperbacks.
Friends spokesman Carol Woodmansee said this sale promises to be the largest ever. There will be books for children, youth, and adults; both paperback and hard cover; all genres of  fiction and all subject areas of non-fiction, large print books, and books in electronic formats.
Members of Friends of the Library who have been busy all year sorting donated books will be organizing and working the sale. On Saturday, Oct. 19, members of Friends will have an “early-bird” opportunity to shop for books from 1-3:30 in the afternoon. Memberships costing $10 per person or $20 per family will be available prior to the sale and during the “early-bird” sale.
