Most people plan their week’s projects, vacations and dinner, but very few spend adequate time asking themselves “What’s next?” Avoiding or ignoring that question can decimate a lifetime of asset accumulation.Donna Krug, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension agent, will team with area agents and representatives from the Kansas State University Foundation to explore some of the planning tools available. The program will provide an overview of planning options and is open to everyone -- because everyone needs to plan.Estate planning is a tool to help preserve and distribute personal assets based on the owner’s goals, rather than leave distribution to chance and the state’s prescribed plan.
