Congressman to visit

LARNED — The Larned Area Chamber of Commerce and Pawnee County Economic Development Commission will sponsor a Town Hall meeting at 4:30 p.m. Friday with Congressman Tim Huelskamp at the Chamber of Commerce in the Jordaan Room. Everyone is welcome.
Congressman Huelskamp will be updating Pawnee County on what is happening in Washington and then taking questions. This is your opportunity to become informed and voice your concerns. Coffee, tea and water will be provided.

Quilting workshop scheduled

LARNED — In celebration of National Quilting Month, the Pawnee County Quilting Bees are sponsoring short workshops beginning at 1 p.m. at the Jordaan Library through the month of March.
Diann Morell started the presentations with the “10 Minute Block” and “Strip Magic.”
The third in a series of events celebrating National Quilting Month will be on Thursday, March 22 at the Jordaan Library at 1 p.m.  Virginia Bauer will present “Easy Circles.” 
The demonstration will include samples for viewing and a handout of directions.  Bauer is an active member of The Quilting Bees, the local guild in Larned.  Interested individuals may call 285-1056 for information.  The public is invited.
