Larned’s annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be at noon Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1111 State St. Escue Chapel, the Rev. Tony Hill, pastor, will be the host church this year. A different church member of the Pawnee County Ministerial Association hosts the event each year. A free-will offering will be accepted for the meal.

The event always draws a "good-sized" crowd.

The Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel of Larned's United Methodist Church  said food for the meal is provided by all the churches of the community. "There is always a lot of good cooperation among the churches," he added, in bringing off this popular annual event and other programs and activities.
