Chili cook-off set for Sunday

LARNED — The American Legion in Larned, 115 E. 7th Street, will sponsor a chili cook-off Sunday. Judging starts at 5 p.m.
Everyone is invited to make a crock pot of chili.  Prizes will be awarded for first and second place.

Commission to meet

LARNED — The Pawnee County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Mon­day at the Pawnee County Courthouse.  
Agenda items include Andrea Huffman, BCBS on retro check; Kurt Demel, County Highway Administrator with road and other updates; and Max Galliart regarding vacant lot.
Coffee chat Monday

LARNED — The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Founda­tion will be hosting Coffee Chat each Monday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in PVCH’s Cafeteria Dining area as an opportunity for community members to gather for coffee, treats and community fellowship.  All are invited to attend this time to get together with friends and neighbors.

Larned VFW will play pitch

LARNED — The Larned VFW Auxiliary will sponsor a Pitch Card Party on Monday.  A meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. and cards will be played afterwards.  There will be small prizes for high and low scores.  
No partners are required. Proceeds are donated to The March of Dimes and local charities.
