Pheasants Forever banquet
scheduled Saturday night

LARNED — The Pawnee Valley Pheasants Forever chapter will sponsor its 21st annual banquet Saturday at the Knights of Columbus. A 5:30 p.m. social hour is followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Sue’s BBQ is catering the dinner.
Games and raffles will be planned. Tickets must be bought in advance.

Monthly lab day Friday

LARNED — The Pawnee County Health Department announces it will resume the lab days, beginning Friday. The clinic runs from 8:30-10 a.m. Participants need to fast from midnight the evening before. The available lab tests are: Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, $30; CMP, $15; Lipid Panel, $10; TSH, $8; Hemagram, $10; FreeT4, $8; PSA (prostate specific antigen), $15; and HGBA1C, $8.
No insurance is billed and clients are responsible for following up on any abnormal results with their private medical provider.
The Health Department offers this service in conjunction with Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.

Rep. Huelskamp to visit Larned

LARNED — Congressman Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) will host his annual Pawnee County Town Hall at the Larned Chamber of Commerce at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21.
At the Town Hall at 502 Broadway Street, he’ll take questions from Kansans and listen to their thoughts and concerns so he can bring them back to Washington.
Huelskamp has held more Town Halls than any sitting member of Congress. Each year he visits every one of the 63 counties in the Big First District to meet with Kansans. The Town Hall in Larned will be his second of 2016, and 334th since taking office.
Everyone is invited to attend. The event is open to members of the media.

‘Lunch and Learn’
scheduled Jan. 28

LARNED — The Larned Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its monthly Lunch and Learn program at noon, Thursday, Jan. 28 at the Santa Fe Trail Center.
