LARNED — Co-owners Kevin and Krista Holt of Tabler Furniture at 401 Broadway will celebrate their third anniversary at the weekly Larned Chamber of Commerce coffee hour at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Quilting Bees meet

LARNED — Members of the Quilting Quild met Tuesday at the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Larned. Once again, the guild will sponsor prizes for the 4-H Pawnee County Fair in July. Discussion was held on the Quilter’s Celebration Event for June.
Announcements included the quilting display for Jordaan Library during the month of March with Ann Hicks in charge of the event, the Parade of Quilts in Yoder during March, Wichita Quilt Show in June, and the Beginning Sewing class for girls, a Spin Class jointly sponsored by the guild and Pawnee County 4-H. The class will meet at the church on Saturdays on Sept. 27, March 19, April 16, and May 21. Members of the guild will be mentoring the students and the class will be taught by Diann Morell.
Mary Weber displayed a folded block. The meeting ended by playing Quilt Bingo with grab bags for prizes.
The next regular meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 at the church. For more information, call the church at 620-285-6033.

Pawnee Republican
Caucus to be March 5
 
LARNED — The Republican Presidential Caucus will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at Larned High School.
Doors will open at 9 a.m. to begin credentialing voters, with speeches  to begin about 10:30 a.m.
Anyone who is interested in speaking on behalf of one of the Presidential candidates should call Paula Carr 620-285-6951 or  620-285-5110.  
Republican City Council candidates will be  introduced,speaking  briefly, and making  themselves available to answer questions from those in attendance.  
Carr reminds attendees that a photo ID will be required. Refreshments will be served, and all registered Republicans are welcome.
