Larned coffee hour

LARNED — The Santa Fe Trail Center will recognize two recent donations at the Sept. 29 Larned Chamber of Commerce Coffee Hour.
The Coffee Hour will be held in the Dale and Melba Woods Farm and Auto Museum Additions at 9:30 a.m. Morgan and Joan Wright donated automobile models of designs circa World War II and prior. The models were collected by Morgan Wright during the second half of the 20th Century.
Roger Fox donated advertisements for farm machinery from the 1930s and early 1940s. The collection includes catalogs from International, McCormick-Deering, Minneapolis-Moline, and Allis-Chalmers. Fox was always fascinated by farm machinery and had collected these advertisements since he was young.

Alzheimer’s workshop Thursday

LARNED — Country Place Memory Care, 714 W. 9th Street, will host a Alzheimer’s Association workshop, “Know the 10 Signs — Early Detection Matters,” at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Early detection of Alzheimer’s disease gives you a chance to begin drug therapy and enroll in clinical studies. For information call Country Place Memory Care, 620-285-6900.

Crop-A-Thon to start

LARNED —Scraps will sponsor its fourth Crop-A-Thon starting at 8 a.m. Saturday until midnight and resuming from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. To register, call 620-285-8977. Various scrapbooking and non-scrapbooking vendors will be present.
