City cleanup Saturday

LARNED — The Larned City Wide Clean Up is scheduled Saturday. Pick up begins at 7 a.m., and there will only be curbside pick-up.
Residents are advised to have items in separated piles for crews to haul away; placed four to five feet apart. Do not place piles behind parked cars, poles, signs or in ditches. Do not cut down trees for cleanup crews to haul away. Items not taken during the cleanup must be removed from the curbside by the owner within a few days.
Copies of clean up guidelines are available at the Larned City Office, Doerr’s Ace Hardware, Wilson Lumber and The Tiller & Toiler. For questions, call (620) 285-8555.

TAC dance Saturday

LARNED — The 4-H Teen Action Club is sponsoring a dance for USD 495 and USD 496 students grades 7 through 12 from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the J. A. Haas Building in Larned. There is a nominal admission fee.

Rose orders taken  

LARNED — The Larned Garden Club is now taking orders for roses to be planted in the memory Rose Garden, located in Schnack Park. Orders may be placed by calling Rose George at (620) 285-2308. Orders must be placed by April 15.
The roses are planted in memory of loved ones whose names will be engraved on a brass plate on a memorial tablet in the garden. The cost includes the rose of our choice plus the brass plate and fertilizer.

Benefit dinner Sunday

LARNED — The 4-H Teen Action Club is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the J. A. Haas Building in Larned. Free-will donations will be accepted.
