LARNED — The Santa Fe Trail Tired Iron Show, taking place Saturday and Sunday, will feature a Medallion Hunt for the second year, sponsors said.
The Pawnee County Co-op is sponsoring the Medallion Hunt on the museum grounds at the Santa Fe Trail Center, located west of Larned on K-156.
The 2011 medallion will be carefully concealed, so thorough looking is necessary to find it. However, the medallion is not buried and climbing is not needed. Destruction of property is not necessary and will not be tolerated, museum officials stressed.
Treasure hunters may register to participate in the Medallion Hunt at any time during the hours of the Tired Iron Show.
The clues will be posted following each Anvil Shoot during the Tired Iron Show on both Saturday and Sunday. Follow the clues to find the medallion, but be quick about it because the winner receives a cash prize of $250 and some major bragging rights.
