Taco buffet Friday night

LARNED — A taco buffet is scheduled from 5 to  7 p.m. Friday at the Larned Knights of Columbus Hall.
There will be a free-will donation and proceeds will go to the American Legion Baseball program. For information, call Larry Miller (620) 804-1498 or Dennis Wilson (620) 910-7900.

ATV training set Saturday

RADIUM — The Central Kansas Off Road Association will sponsor a free ATV Youth Safety Training at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Radium bridge riding area. The riding area is located off Radium Road south of K-56, at the southwest side of the bridge.
Call Kathie M. Rondeau, district manager Pawnee County Conservation District (620) 282-9957 or (620) 285-2821 to reserve a spot.
“Is so important for these kids to learn proper safety while using their ATVs,” Rondeau said.
The free training is designed for youngsters 15 and under. A parent or guardian must remain with youngsters during the training session.
Youth should bring their ATV, helmet, goggles, gloves and any other safety gear they usually wear.  Snacks will be provided.

Budget to be presented

LARNED — The Pawnee County Extension Council will hold a budget hearing at 10 a.m. Monday at Pawnee County Courthouse. All interested person can attend the May 14 meeting.
