Theatre group to meet

LARNED — Larned’s State Theatre Association, 617 Broadway Street, will hold its annual meeting, in conjunction with a 10-year anniversary celebration on Monday. A 6 p.m. dinner will be followed by a 6:30 meeting and a movie. Prizes will be given away to attendees in celebration of the 10th anniversary.

Commission to meet

LARNED — The Pawnee County commissioners will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Pawnee County Courthouse. The meeting will be preceded by a meeting with the newly appointed Pawnee Valley Foundation board.
Agenda items include:
10:30 a.m. — Lane Massey, Larned city manager; upgrade for radios, $40,000.
11:15 a.m. — Bob Wetmore, Great Plains Development.
1:30 p.m. — Rob Manry, Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility; Elizabeth Griffin, Larned State Hospital procurement office.
2:15 p.m. — Matt Heyn, Pawnee Valley Community Hospital administrator, first foundation meeting.
3 p.m. — Kurt Demel, Pawnee County Highway administrator, updates. Ice cream social set

BURDETT — The Burdett United Methodist Women will sponsor an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Burdett United Methodist Church, 502 Elm Street. Ice cream, pie, cake and refreshments will be served for a free-will donation. Everyone is welcome to attend.
