Long-time city staff honored
Veteran city personnel praised for service

The Great Bend City Council Monday night said thank you to several city employees for their 340 years of cumulative service. Recognized were staff members who have held their jobs for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 years.

“It is an honor and a privilege to recognize these city staff members who have achieved these milestone years,” said Human Resource Director Randy Keesling. “This is a fine group of employees.”

Mayor Joe Andrasek and City Administrator Kendal Francis then presented the service awards to the honorees who were present. The remaining plaques were to be handed out later.

Amber Allen – Police Department

Michael Bradley – Police Department

Nathan Florian – Fire Department

Heather McLemore – Police Department

Robert Zimmerman – Public Works

• 10 years

Tim Newby – Public Lands

Matthew Tiede – Public Works

Chuck Pike – Municipal Court judge (part time)

Susan Thacker – Crossing Guard (part time) 

• 15 years

Jason Cauley – Public Works

James Giles – Public Works
