The Great Bend High School Madrigal Pop Singers serenade Tricia Reiser, director of teaching and learning, at the USD 428 District Office on Valentine’s Day 2019. The moment was extra special with Reiser’s daughter, Kaylee, performing with the musical group. Reservations for 2020 Singing Valentines are being taken by the GBHS Vocal Music Department; call 620-793-1521.

The Madrigal-Pop Singers from Great Bend High School invite the community to support their fundraising efforts with two upcoming opportunities.

Up first, on Friday, January 31 the community is invited to attend a Chili Supper prior to the Panther basketball games against the Dodge City Red Demons. Held at the Park Elementary School gym, guests can dine-in or carry-out from 5-6:30 p.m. for $8 per person.

Advance purchase from a Madrigal member is encouraged; call The GBHS Vocal Music Department to make reservations and students will deliver tickets. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

A second opportunity to support the Madrigals is by ordering a Singing Valentine to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. On Friday, Feb. 14, members of the Madrigal Pop Singers will serenade recipients from roughly 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To schedule a Singing Valentine, call the GBHS Vocal Music Department by Friday, February 7. There is a suggested donation of $25 per recipient and all valentines must be within the Great Bend city limits. All proceeds benefit the participating members of the Madrigal-Pop Singers.

For orders or more information contact Susan Stambaugh at the GBHS Vocal Music Department, 620-793-1521.
