Marching Panthers from Great Bend High School competed at the Kansas State Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 12 and received I ratings from all three judges. Their selections were from their marching show, “The Music of John Williams.” The songs they performed were “Star Wars/Raiders March,” and “Hedwig’s Theme, from ‘Harry Potter.’” 

Fifty-four bands played for comments and ratings on that day, either at the Bretz Law Arena or by marching on the fairgrounds (new this year). On Monday, there were 30 bands, and on Tuesday, 14 bands played.
