The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled “Medicare Basics” from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th. Those who are nearing age 65 will want to attend this educational program.  

It  will cover Part A, B, and prescription drug plans will be discussed. Since open enrollment period for part D (prescription drug plans) Started Saturday and runs through Dec. 7, Senior Health Insurance Counselor for Kansas (SHICK) counselors will be on hand to schedule appointments to review coverage. Donna Krug, Barton County FCS agent will be the presenters for this program.
