The Panther Booster Club will host its first community-wide Meet the Panthers event at 5 p.m. Sunday at the band shell in Jack Kilby Square.
All the Panther teams and six new coaches will be introduced, according to Booster Club members Jeff and Sally Mauler from the Booster Club.
Everyone is welcome. Head coaches will talk about their programs and introduce their coaching staffs. They will also introduce the captains, seniors and other players in fall sports and talk about how the season is getting underway.
There will be fun games, food and drinks for everyone, thanks to a corporate sponsor.
“We really hope we can connect the community with these great kids and visa versa,” the Maulers stated in a news release. “We hope the entire community will come out and watch these student athletes perform and represent their local community. Local high school sports and activities are a very inexpensive, fun family event and is a great way to connect and support your community. We look forward to seeing everyone there.”
