Great Bend High School Memorial Stadium will be closed beginning Thursday, May 25, for construction. The project will include extensive work on the track and field surface, according to a statement from Great Bend USD 428 and GBHS.

An official timeline is not available at this time, but GBHS anticipates the facility will reopen in early August.

“We look forward to reopening the improved facility for community and school use later this summer,” the statement reads. Questions about the project can be directed to the USD 428 District Education Center at 620-793-1500.
