The Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury accident at 4:58 a.m. Thursday at the U.S. 56/K-156 junction east of Great Bend. A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Linny K. Ott, 35, of Russell was southbound on K-156 approaching the “T” intersection and failed to make the turn. The vehicle continued south through the intersection, through the ditch and over the railroad tracks, coming to rest in a field.
Ott and passenger Ayeriana Ott reportedly received minor injuries but refused treatment from the Great Bend Fire Department Ambulance service.
